OUR MISSION FOR THE AFRICAN WORLD PEACE FESTIVAL is to support our founding sponsor, Culture and Heritage Alliance, which is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting peace through dance performances, cultural exhibitions music and storytelling to preserve and inform others of the culture, customs and traditions of all indigenous peoples.
Our goal is to become the vital network resource that brings indigenous artists together to work with communities and educational institutions to promote the works of emerging artists while fostering cultural diversity and education for the promotion of peace in the world.
We also extend our support to our partnering sponsor, Loving Hands International (LHI), founded in 2007. The mission of LHI is to build a balanced community using donation resources to strengthen and improve quality of lives of the poor and the needy in undeserved communities in the US and Ghana.
OUR HISTORY African World Peace Festival celebrates 5 years in downtown Fayetteville this year! Over the past 4 years the attendance was over 13,000. Attendees came from over 5 states to join the festivities and today our festival is one of the only heritage festivals in the Fayetteville area. We depend on generous sponsors from local and corporate businesses to guarentee success. Together we support other local non-profits each year with proceeds raised from this event.
